The artworks are on the verso and recto of three separate sheets. They feature idealised and imagined landscapes which include waterfalls, trees and gardens.

Biographical note

"Joyce" was described by Simon as a middle-aged terminally ill tuberculosis patient who was bed-ridden and weak and lacked confidence in her ability to depict the natural beauty of nature.
