About this work

Description

Two artworks by Tuberculosis Patient 12 - "Joyce." The recto shows a weeping willow tree, a purple tree, two horses and a pavilion. The verso appears unfinished and shows a tree and coloured bushes.

The title has been supplied by the cataloguer for identification purposes.

Rita Simon classified the artwork on the recto as Massive Transition and the verso as Traditional Linear.

Information about the artworks has been taken from notes made by Wellcome staff during conversations with Rita Simon between 1995 and 1997.
