Contains two exercise books with notes on the "Normal human karyotype" and "Distinguishing chromosomes by measurement"; data collected on chromosome measurements and photographs of chromosomes; papers for the CIBA Foundation Guest Symposium in London, 1963, on "The Normal Human Karyotype", for which Penrose was convenor, including a copy of the programme, Penrose's introductory statement and final report; three drafts of Penrose's "A note on the mean measurement of human chromosomes"; typescript paper by M A Ferguson-Smith on measurements of chromosomes; and off-prints of the 1960 Denver report titled "A proposed standard of nomenclature of human mitotic chromosomes".
