Obituaries from The Pharmaceutical Era

As photocopied material, all from The Pharmaceutical Era:

1. 7 February, 1895. A brief cablegram from Henry Wellcome is quoted, informing the journal of Burroughs's death, followed by remarks on Burroughs by S W Fairchild, of Fairchild Bros & Foster.

2. 14 February, 1895, pp. 210-11. Anecdotal obituary.

3. 6 June, 1895, pp. 720-1. Obituary. (Also original copy of publication for 6th June)

4. March 1945. Wellcome Foundation internal memorandum (6 March): "We attach for your information a photostat copy of an obituary notice relating to the late Mr S M Burroughs taken from 'The Phamaceutical Era' of 6th June, 1895. This has been sent to us by Mr Oakes." With small brown envelope (franked 2 March) in which the copy was posted.
