Topics covered include the setting up of the School, staffing, facilities, suggestion of moving to Cambridge School of Art and Technology, provisions for male student and the Sex Discrimination Act, provisions for increasing student numbers, the move to UEA in the early 1990s etc.

Biographical note

The School of Physiotherapy at Addenbrookes Hospital was opened in 1969 after the expansion of the hospital in the preceding years. Previously, there had been no facilities for the training of physiotherapists in the East Anglia area. In 1988, the School had its syllabus completely rewritten for the move towards a validated degree status and was subsequently located at the University of East Anglia.
