Biographical note

The School of Physiotherapy at Addenbrookes Hospital was opened in 1969 after the expansion of the hospital in the preceding years. Previously, there had been no facilities for the training of physiotherapists in the East Anglia area. In 1988, the School had its syllabus completely rewritten for the move towards a validated degree status and was subsequently located at the University of East Anglia.
