About this work

Description

Test papers for 'P Test' completed by male and female children from various schools in England and Wales, aged between 6 and 13 years old. The test required interpretation (by multiple choice) of a series of six pictures which depict mother-child and family scenes. The back of the test papers contain information about the child, family and parents. The tests appear to have been mainly undertaken by children in 'approved' schools, with some possibly comparative data from 'normal' schools. It is assumed that the P in 'P Test' stands for Picture however it has not be possible to confirm this.

(According to a card with the original box, these were donated to the Centre for Family Research, Cambridge, by the Child and Family Psychiatric Unit, January 1988).
