About this work
Description
Test papers for 'P Test' completed by male and female children from various schools, aged between 9 and 11 years old, in 1946. The test required interpretation (by multiple choice) of a series of six pictures which depict mother-child and family scenes. The back of the test papers contain information about the child, family and parents. Some of the test papers have comments attached to them or written on the back and informaton about the child's home situation or crimes they had been arrested for, and sometimes comments on their parents' character.
Test papers are from a variety of Approved schools in England and Wales, notably run by the National Children's Home.
The test papers are not in any particular order, boys and girls, schools, etc.
