Research into the Role of Diet in the Aetiology of Western Diseases

This section covers Burkitt's research into diseases common in people with a Western world diet (high sugar, high fat, processed and refined foods) and the differences compared to the non-Western diet (low sugar, low fat, less or unprocessed and high in fibre), his collaboration with others working in this field including Surgeon Captain Peter Cleave and his activities publicising the need for people in Western world countries to consume more dietary fibre and less processed and refined foods.
