Biographical note
The Regional meeting on 3-5 February, 1987 held in Baghdad, Iraq was the first 'Scientific Conference of the Iraqi Society of Community Medicine and Regional Conference of the IEA'.
In April, 1989, the first IEA conference in China was held in Beijing, and other regional meetings at this time reflect the expanding international and collaborative educational activities of the IEA.
