Description

Biographical notes formerly bound or pasted into the family book of Edward Wheler-Galton, written in various hands, containing information about ancestors from 1565-1799.

The notes consist of details of births, marriages and deaths for various Galton family; tables of genealogy; copy annotations from the family bible; copy extracts from parish registers; notes of grave stone inscriptions; copy extracts from Hutchin's Dorsetshire, James Timmins the History of Warwickshire, and an obituary from Gentleman's Magazine 1799, p. 623; copy of an extract from the index to the Harleian Manuscript.

[It is not certain whether this material was initially bound and pasted into the two Volume Galton book compiled by Elizabeth Anne Wheler [nee Galton], or whether it previously formed a separate volume]
