Papers of Erasmus Darwin, [Francis Galton's grandfather], consisting of correspondence, portraits, papers relating to his memorial, his poetry, and scientific and business papers.

Papers of Samuel Tertius Galton, [Francis Galton's father], consisting of his books, diaries, correspondence, and some business records.

Galton family genealogies, alongside copy extracts from baptism, marriage and burial records, biographical notes, and collections of Galton ephemera.

Photographs, paintings and drawings of the Galton and Darwin families, plus family acquaintances, either collected into albums, inserted into volumes, or loose.

The papers are available at UCL Special Collections and Archives subject to the usual conditions of access to Archives and Manuscripts material, after the completion of a Reader's Undertaking.

The material here appears to have been gathered together retrospectively by Francis Galton, Elizabeth Anne Wheler [née Galton] and Edward Galton Wheler-Galton whilst researching the Galton family history; and by Karl Pearson whilst researching his biography of Galton.
