  • Galton family genealogies, alongside copy extracts from baptism, marriage and burial records, biographical notes, and collections of Galton ephemera.
  • Photographs, paintings and drawings of the Galton and Darwin families, plus family acquaintances, either collected into albums, inserted into volumes, or loose.

    The material here appears to have been gathered together retrospectively by Francis Galton, Elizabeth Anne Wheler [née Galton] and Edward Galton Wheler-Galton whilst researching the Galton family history; and by Karl Pearson whilst researching his biography of Galton.
