A new theory of comets; (laws of motion,) &c. plainly shewing, that they are not solid, compact, fixed and durable bodies like those of the Planets: But that they are Solar Meteors, or Exhalations of the same nature with our smoke, which flying to a certain distance from the Sun, thicken (or draw together) to such a Mass, that at last their own Gravity forces them back into its Blaze; where they no sooner arrive but they take Fire, and are violently thrown off in right Lines thro' the Universe, till their own Flames have exhausted their Substance. - The whole being freed from the absurd Opinion, and Error of Sir Isaac Newton, upon this Subject: To which are added, several debates on the above, with the author's answer: Till at last this Theory, now stands confirmed beyond all Contradiction.
