England's bloody tribunal: or, popish cruelty displayed. Containing a compleat account of the lives, religious principles, cruel persecutions, sufferings, tortures, and triumphant deaths, of the most pious English Protestant martyrs, Who have sealed the Faith of our Holy Religion with their Blood. Exhibiting A full View of Popery, with all its superstitious and horrid Practices; and tending to promote the Protestant Religion, by displaying the Errors of Popish Idolatry, and confirming the true Believer in the Faith of Our Blessed Redeemer, who was crucified for our Sins, and rose again for our Justification, and now sitteth at the Right Hand of God, making Intercession for us. To Which IS Added, A faithful Narrative of the many hortid Cruelties and Persecutions that have been inflicted by the Roman Catholics on the Protestants of Scotland, Ireland, France and Germany. The Scheme of the present Lottery being entirely different from any former one, - Ten Thousand tickets less, - The Public are requested to observe, that Five Hundred Thousand Pounds (the usual Amount of the Prize-Money) is divided amongst 40,000, instead of 50,000 Tickets, and that there are more Prizes than Blanks in this Lottery, when, in most former ones, there have been from Two to Three Blanks to a Prize. The general and particular principles of animal electricity and magnetism, &c. in which are found Dr. Bell's secrets and practice, AS Delivered To His Pupils In Paris, London, Dublin, Bristol, Glocester, Worcester, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, &c. &c. All the New Experiments and Phenomena are explained by Monsieur le Docteur Bell, Professor of that Science, And Member of the Philosophical Harmonic Society at Paris, Fellow Correspondent of M. Le Court de Geblin's Museum; and the only Person authorised by Patent from the First Noblemen in France, to teach and practise that Science in England, Ireland, &c. Price Five Shillings.

A guide to the lottery; or, the laws of chance laid down in a plain and intelligible manner, wherein is shewn the probabilities arising from any proposed circumstance of play; applied to the Solution of a Variety of curious Questions relating to Cards, Dice, Lotteries, &c. Likewise The whole Business of insuring Tickets in the State Lottery clearly explained, the several Advantages taken by the Office-Keepers pointed out, and an easy Method given, whereby any Person may compute the Probability of his Success upon purchasing or insuring any particular Number of Tickets, with a Table of the Price of Insurance for every Day's drawing in the ensuing Lottery, another Table, containing the Number of Tickets a Person ought to purchase to make it an equal Chance to have any particular Prize; with several other curious Tables. To which is added a companion for the draught-player, Containing Thirty select Games of Draughts, shewing the Manner of moving the Pieces to the best Advantage; together with several critical Situations to win Games, and fine Strokes, never before published: being the Result of the Practice and Observations of some of the first Players.
