Biographical note
The first of the regular series of Winter Schools was held in 1921-22 and the first Sub-committee appointed in 1922, although no records of this body remain in the collection. In 1938, as the Association was by then arranging other short courses in addition to the Winter School, its name was changed to the Post-certificate Courses Sub-committee. In 1945 a separate Training Committee was established (see below B.16) and in 1963 the Post-certificate Courses Sub-committee became known as the Education Sub-committee.
