Minutes of AGMs are also included in this volume.

The board of directors met monthly for the most part, with occasional breaks.

The meetings deal with the administration of the company, directors emoluments, the payments of bonuses, the performance of the company, the state of the market, and other related matters.

The minutes also contain information on allowances paid to retired employees and their surviving spouses, and on bonus payments etc., but otherwise there is little personal information in the volume.

pp. 41-2 are stuck together, and blank.

p. 95 gives details of how problems supplying Banding Grease had affected the company's competitive position in East Africa.

p. 103 gives details of a donation towards a fund to supply Britain with surplus South African produce during wartime.

pp. 232-3 are blank.
