Arranged into the following sections:

01 - Company History
02 - Events
03 - Staff
04 - Sites
05 - A. W. Haggis
06 - E. F. Linstead
07 - A. N. Falder
08 - H. J. Parish
09 - Gilbert MacDonald
10 - Brockedon patent

Papers by A. W. Haggis (WF/M/H/05) date from the 1940s and were for a proposed biography of Sir Henry Wellcome. Material was collated by E. F. Linstead (WF/M/H/06) in the 1930s for a company history of Burroughs Wellcome & Co, and a similar exercise using staff reminiscenses was attempted by A. N. Falder (WF/M/H/07) for a history of the Wellcome Foundation. Falder's work would be followed up by Gilbert MacDonald (WF/M/H/09), who produced In Pursuit of Excellence (London: Wellcome Foundation, 1980) to mark the centenary of the founding of Burroughs Wellcome & Co. This series also includes drafts of H. J. Parish's (unpublished) 'The Wellcome Research Laboratories and Immunisation : A Historical Survey and Personal Memoir' (WF/M/H/08).

Other parts of the series focus on internal memoranda and publications on UK and overseas Burroughs Wellcome & Co premises (WF/M/H/04); papers on specific members of staff (WF/M/H/03); a wide selection of literature relating to social events held for staff (WF/M/H/02); and internal and external publications on the history of Burroughs Wellcome & Co and the Wellcome Foundation (WF/M/H/01).

In addition, papers on William Brockedon and his patent for the manufacture of compressed pills (WF/M/H/10) - the process which underpinned the early commercial success of Burroughs Wellcome & Co - has been added to this series.

In total, the series offers a rich resource for the history and histories of Burroughs Wellcome & Co.
