Description

Papers on William Brockedon (1787-1854) and his patent which led to the manufacture of compressed pills. The process was improved upon in the USA in the 1870s, and brought to the UK by Burroughs and Wellcome & Co in the 1880s.

Material appears to have been collated by E. F. Linstead, possibly for his history of Burroughs Wellcome & Co.
