Description

A study of the mental health institution, Napsbury Hospital (1905-1998), was conducted by the Tavistock Institute in the 1950s. The work consisted of interviews with clinical and domestic staff and field work concerned with the organisation, systems and structure of the hospital. Key figures involved in the research included Elizabeth Spillius (nee Bott) and Isabel Menzies Lyth, among others.
