About this work

Description

Correspondence regarding "informal discussions on problems of Pattern Formation" in the Department of Biology, Middlesex Hospital Medical School, London, 15-17 September, 1969.

In a letter of thanks to Professor Lewis Wolpert, who had organized the Workshop, Crick noted: "I not only got a better grasp of the oscillating signals theory, and the experiments on hydra to support it, but I also came to realise that I must take pumping mechanism seriously, and that microtubials might be very exciting." (Crick to Wolpert, 18 September, 1969)
