About this work
Description
Dr Canti designed a special combined cinema camera and microscope in order to take 'movie pictures' of living cells when they are dividing. The whole process could then be studied on a screen, (cine-micro-photographic apparatus). Dr Canti and his co-workers made a number of films. After he died the Campaign received many requests for the loan, hire or purchase of the films, to be shown to scientific societies, schools, and for propaganda purposes to educate the public. The Campaign decided to administer/control use of the films through a sub-committee of the Executive Committee.
