Description

Letters from John Humphries Hodson [Mayor of Lichfield in 1884, and later Town Clerk] concerning possible locations for a Darwin memorial, and the possibility of a Darwin memorial fountain. The letters dated 23 and 26 March are in Hodson's wife's hand; the letter dated April is in Hodson's hand. Enclosed are a sketch of St Mary's Church, Lichfield, and a plan of Market Place showing a proposed location for the memorial.
