Description
Handwritten and typed notes, and some secondary material (reprints) belonging to a physiotherapist. Subjects include electrotherapy, examination of the moving parts of the body, routine examinations, patient assessment (a general approach), manipulation and mobilisation, dermatology and disease of the skin, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and the therapeutic effects of ultrasound. Also includes instruction manuals for various ultrasonic therapy apparatus.

Biographical note
Crux (nee Harvey) [MCSP] was a chartered physiotherapist, with an interest in the technical side of electrotherapy. Crux spent much of her working life in London which included work at St Thomas's Hospital, London. She died in March 2014.
Ownership note
Before transfer to the Wellcome Library the collection was kept by a physiotherapist and former colleague of Crux who had been given the papers by Mrs Crux's family.
