Professor Young was the main organiser of the satellite symposium along with Robert D.H. Boyd, and local organiser Professor G. Telegdy, Institute of Pathophysiology, University of Szeged School of Medicine, Hungary. The success of this meeting was formative in the emergence of the European Placenta Group.
