Description

Photograph of two Nkisi effigies on display in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. The larger item was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medicine in 1930 at accessioned in 1936 (accession number R2378/1936). It is still held by Wellcome Collection. The smaller item was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R2381/1936). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
