About this work

Description

An international meeting, held at Ile de Port-Cros, France, 5-9 May, 1971, entitled 'Les Acides Desoxyribonucleiques des Eukaryotes'. Crick participated, introducing and directing the final session (for which Jacques Monod was Chairman).

The file includes full conference details and related correspondence (travel and other arrangements), as well as a Basildon Air Mail pad (10" x 8") containing Crick's conference notes (holograph). A large manilla envelope from the conference organisers marked with Crick's graphical notes has also been retained.

Also included is a b/w group photograph (9" x 7") of conference participants, in which Crick is seated in the front row.
