5 autograph letters, signed, by Franklin's second wife Jane, Lady Franklin. Correspondents include "My dear Admiral", mentioning a letter from the Arctic explorer Francis Leopold McClintock (1819-1907) (no.18; the letter is endorsed, wrongly, as being to Sir Roderick Impey Murchison) and a Mr. Hepworth Dixon, probably the historian and traveller William Hepworth Dixon (1821-1879) (no.19).
