Description

Photograph of a model parturition or birthing stool based on a description by Eucharius Rösslin in 1532. The model was made by the Wellcome Museum workshops and accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum (20987) but is now held by the Science Museum (A63536). Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 25th April 1936 (PHO 7952).
