Description

Photograph of two pages of a holiday diary kept by Agnes Syme, wife of Joseph Lister in May 1892 during a trip to Wiesbaden, Germany. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
