Immunology Correspondence

Files of alphabetically arranged correspondence kept by Alan Williams relating to his immunology work including letters from the Oxford University Press, other immunology laboratories, colleagues, and interested scientists and students. Subjects include brief discussions on his work and laboratory, the provision of cells for experiments, responses to requests for paper reviews and job placements. Some letters with friends contain brief paragraphs on personal matters such as his family or time spent with friends.

Williams kept his correspondence in alphabetically arranged files in labelled suspension files in a filing cabinet. These files have been removed however any information written on them has been recorded in the individual item description. Once inside the file the correspondence was generally in alphabetical order.
