Notebooks

Two notebooks, one belonging to Floriette Rudland Hills, and one to her sister Alethia Ellene Rudland Hills. The former relates primarily to hydrotherapy treatments, its effects on specific ailments, how to administer treatments, general skills such as gaining patients' confidence, and a history of the use of baths. The latter deals with the treatment of specific ailments through massage (an index is included at the back of the notebook, ailments include: anaemia, bladder shaking, club foot, flat foot, dislocations, epilepsy, gouty arthritis, heart cases, knock knee, insomnia etc.) and she also gives a history of massage and more general information.
