Letters and other items by or relating to Daubenton, including 2 letters annotated, erroneously, as being to the naturalist Bernardin de Saint-Pierre (1737-1814) (nos. 1, 7 and 12-13), of which one is possibly to the statesman Anne Robert Jacques Turgot, Baron de l'Aulne (1727-1781) (no. 7); 1 letter to the scientist Nicolas Desmarest (1725-1815), later used by an unknown hand to make notes on glaciers (no. 3); 1 legal agreement between Daubenton and the publisher Charles Joseph Panckoucke, signed by both parties (no. 6); 2 receipts signed by Daubenton (nos. 9 and 10), of which 1 (no. 10) mentions a member of the Thoüin family.
