About this work

Description

Both diaries have same contents but have different bindings styles. Contents includes Monthly Light Tables for the Northern Hemisphere calculated at 52° North Latitude, 'and are approximately correct for England, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Southern Russia, Northern China, Newfoundland and Southern Canada.' Light Table for the Tropics is suitable for use in the Tropics, i.e. between about 20° S. and 20° N. latitude, all the year round.

There are also several photographic images produced with 'Tabloid' ' brand photographic chemicals throughout, Index (of photographic chemicals), postal information for the United Kingdom, temperature chart (guide for photographic operations), weights and measures, customs regulations, illustrations, Development (information on 'Tabloid' developers and methods) list of 'Tabloid' brand Photographic Chemicals, Permits, Record of negative exposures (annotated in pencil) record of positive exposures, diary, week to a page, and memoranda pages with article on exposure and tables of light values follow memoranda pages. Wellcome's Exposure Calculator positioned on back endpaper.

The leather bound copy has inserts: Subject card for use in connection with the 'Wellcome' Exposure Calculator, (for measuring the correct exposure by turning the disc) and a letter to Mrs. Andrew Carnegie from E.G.P. dated Dec. 1911.

The green cloth wallet style bound diary has Subject card for use in connection with the 'Wellcome' Exposure Calculator, (for measuring the correct exposure by turning the disc) and a postcard re order of special rapid plate and roll film 'Wellcome' Exposure Calculator, both held within inner wallet.
