Wellcome Photographic Handbooks, Memoranda Etc

Separate editions of 'Wellcome's Photographic Exposure Record and Diary' which changed name to 'Wellcome's Photographic Exposure Calculator Handbook and Diary', were published. Editions were produced providing light tables for various countries including the Northern Hemisphere, the Northern Hemisphere and Tropics, the Southern Hemisphere and the Tropics, Italian, Australian and Tropics, USA and Canada.

There are some title changes:

1912 Wellcome's Photographic Exposure Record and Diary (Northern Hemisphere) became Wellcome's Photographic Exposure Record and Diary (Northern Hemisphere and Tropics).

1925 the Wellcome's Photographic Exposure Record and Diary (Northern Hemisphere and Tropics) became 'Wellcome' Photographic Exposure Calculator Handbook and Diary (Northern Hemisphere and Tropics).

1922 Wellcome's Photographic Exposure Record and Diary (Southern Hemisphere and Tropics) became 'Wellcome' Photographic Exposure Calculator Handbook and Diary (Southern Hemisphere and Tropics)

Johnson 'Wellcome' Photographic Year Books [WF/M/PB/25/11] are concerned with the amateur photographer, and include exposure information, exposure calculator and week to a page diary. Some of the more popular Johnsons of Hendon photographic chemicals are listed with details of preparation and use. Following on is a price list of 'Tabloid' photographic chemicals and prices. There are monthly tables and the calculator is on the back page. Described as a 'Field pocket book', it was a handy volume for the pocket for quick reference.

The pocket diary was designed as its name implies as a concise easy to carry supplement to the larger Handbook, with brief information, select product lists and other useful information such as postal and notable dates.

Wellcome's Photographic Exposure Guides (War Emergency Edition) were designed to meet the needs of the photographer under war time restrictions. Its aim was in some measure to compensate for the absence of new editions of the 'Wellcome' Photographic Exposure Calculator, Handbook and Diary until the end of the war.
