This volume contains minutes of meetings of the board, and minutes and some papers for Annual General Meetings of Shareholders. Meetings of the board generally took place monthly, occasionally at shorter intervals and sometimes with longer breaks.

Matters discussed include the appointment of directors and staff, market conditions and the performance of the company, specific products - and their success or failure, as well as general administrative points. There is no information of an especially sensitive nature, although some mention is made of staff salary levels and remuneration received by directors.

The board meeting of 23 Aug 1921 (p. 19) discusses a major fire that devastated the company's factory premises.

The minutes of the meeting of 28 Sep 1922 (pp. 55-57) are in manuscript rather than typescript.

Parts of the minutes on p. 103 are initialled by J A Hill.

On p. 132 there is a set of summary accounts for part of the business.
