Most of these letters were sent in January while Muriel was with her family in St Asaph. Covers discussions of work on the wards and in the hospitals; lectures given by Maitland; discussions of the war, a speech by Lloyd George, medical committees; books and other readings, both fiction and about the war and the Russian Revolution; continuing studies for the D.P.H.; discussion of their new flat, and the trouble of moving there with air raids' Mention of family and friends including Lawrence (D.H.?), Dr. Pugh, Dr. Bunton, and Muriel's family. Includes one letter from Margaret Radford.
