Description
Files created by Simon Shorvon in his capacity as an officer of the ILAE. Most files date from the late 1990s and early 2000s and thus represent his time as Executive Information Officer. The files were received from his office at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, 33 Queen Square, London WC1N 3BG.
They represent a mixture of meeting papers and ILAE business papers which were sent out from the central office, and papers created by Simon as he administered projects such as the International Resource Centre and Website Task Force.

Simon Shorvon held the following officer posts of the ILAE:
Secretary of the British Chapter 1980-1993
Vice President of the ILAE 1993-1997
Executive Information Officer 1997-2005
Editor in Chief of Epilepsia 2005-2013.
One of the biggest projects that Simon Shorvon oversaw was the development of Epilepsy Information Centre, which was also known as the International Resource Centre. This was based in Switzerland and was intended as a central repository for epilepsy related information.Related to this idea was the development of the ILAE website, on which Simon also led.
