This volume contains minutes of meetings of the board, and minutes and some papers, for Annual General Meetings of Shareholders. Meetings of the board generally took place monthly, occasionally at shorter intervals and sometimes with longer breaks, particularly at the end of the second volume.

Matters discussed include the appointment of directors and staff, market conditions and the performance of the company, specific products - and their success or failure, as well as general administrative points. There is no information of an especially sensitive nature, although some mention is made of staff salary levels and remuneration received by directors.

The Chairman outlines in full the responsibilities of the Board in the context of the Wellcome / Coopers group of companies on pp. 1-2.

On p. 12 details appear of an offer to purchase the business known as Olsson Industries Pty Ltd. On p. 92 the unsuccessful conclusion of the negotiations to purchase is noted.

Discussions about relations with and possible purchase of other businesses appear on pp. 57-8. The businesses concerned are T C Newman Pty Ltd and Protojen Pty Ltd. On p. 83 a note of the successful acquisition of a 75% stake in T C Newman appears. The attempt to acquire Protojen ended in failure.

On p. 120 a donation to an appeal in aid of the victims of major bushfires is noted.
