Correspondence with Edmund H Immergut of Scientific American, beginning with a letter from Crick (9 March, 1978), enclosing "a synopsis of the proposed 'DNA' book, together with a few specimen pages from the beginning."

Also contained in the file is a list of Scientific American Books, three Scientific American offprints (numbers 1303, 1333 and 1362) and a text (photocopy typescript) with the title "Chapter 1, The Flow of Energy in the Living World".
