No. 11 reports on animal rights protests carried out at Wellcome sites (Dartford, Beckenham and Berkhamstead Hill); No 12 on the daubing of a slogan ("Animals Murdered in Vane") on the garage doors of the home of Sir John Vane, Director, Research & Development, Wellcome Research Laboratories.
No. 13 has a feature on Conning Tower, Dorest, a property originally envisioned as a recuperation facility for Wellcome Foundation staff, but which in time also acted as a guest house for company pensioners.
