Description
Material formerly held in the Western Manuscripts Department's Autograph Letters Sequence, relating to André Thoüin (1747-1824), head of the Jardin des Plantes, Paris; his younger brothers Jacques Thoüin (1751-1836), Gabriel Thoüin (d.1829) and Jean Thoüin (d.1827); and their nephew Oscar Leclerc [Thoüin] (1798-1845), the son of their sister Louise Thoüin (b.c. 1764) and the writer and Revolutionary activist Jean-Baptiste Leclerc (1756-1826).
