Description
35 letters to various members of the Thoüin family (in most cases where it is unclear as to which family member is the recipient of the letter, it will probably be André Thoüin). Correspondents include Soulange Artaud, translator into French of the Manual of Natural History of Johann Friedrich Blumenbach (1752-1840) (nos. 36-37 and possibly no. 60), the government minister Count André Jean Chabrol de Cronsul (1771-1836) (no. 49), and James Mease of the Agricultural Society in Philadelphia (no. 54). no. 60 is incomplete.
