Photograph of a 17th century parturition or birthing chair from Germany. The chair was previously part of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum but is not held by Wellcome Collection. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 11th October 1935 (PHO 5252).
