Description
The Wellcome Institute has photocopied three field notebooks, with loose pages, surviving from World War I. They date from the latter period of the war and include descriptions of the battle of the Somme, individual medical notes, and general thoughts on the conduct of war. Notebooks recounting experiences in the earlier part of the war were used by Professor Lovell in his biography of Lord Moran but were not available for cataloguing at the time this list was compiled.
