About this work

Description

Charles Jernegan writes about the secret marriage which has taken place between Sir Henry Bedingfeld, brother of Margaret Jernegan, and Lady Elizabeth Boyle. This has taken place against the wishes of her mother, Lady Burlington, and has shocked the whole family

He also mentions that Margaret Jernegan is still weak about the legs and feet after suffering from smallpox, but is "little or not at all disfigured"
