About this work

Description

Research and Information Group (RIG) papers, reports and surveys; some paper originates from the Maternity Services Committee. The material in the file was in some disarray and no attempt has been made to 'arrange' the file; some of the papers are annotated according to where they should have been filed.

Folder 1: Includes responses to "Changing Childbirth", from RCOG, and RCM; NCT 1992 Maternity Services Survey; Leeds NCT, "Giving Birth and Being Born: a study day", 1983; the Multiple Births Foundation, "Feeding Twins, Triplets and More", 1999. Also includes obituaries for Penny Wade and Erna Wright (with attached correspondence from Amber Lloyd), and other press cuttings relating to the NCT.

Folder 2: Three GLACHC files, each containing papers relevant to MSLCs, as well as papers concerning "Changing Childbirth", 1995; RIG strategy, budget and other organisational papers; "Research Matters" newsletter, 1994-1998 (some missing); NCT evidence to the Expert Maternity Group; and other papers relating to maternity care and services.

Folder 3: RIG, "Involving Health Service Users in the Implementation of Research Findings: a report to the CRDC Advisory Group on Research Implementation", 1995.

Folder 4: Papers from seminar, "Maternity Statistics: what are the problems and how do we solve them?", 1997. Linda Turner, Barnet NCT and former chair Barnet CHC and MSLC was a speaker.
