Scottish district nursing associations were administered through the Scottish Branch (see Section S.1), and the later correspondence with headquarters, listed below, was mainly confined to arrangements for visits of inspection, requests for references when English and Welsh nurses applied for posts in Scotland, advice on design of houses, and discussion of such centrally-administered issues as uniform and training. The routine arrangements and enquiries, which is all that many files contained, have not been selected for preservation.
