Description
Includes correspondence regarding proposals for and the establishment of a Tuberculosis Research Unit (TRU) by the MRC (1944-1951). Also includes correspondence regarding Hart's terms of engagement and copies of TRU progress reports covering the period 1950-1965. In addition this file also contains annual scientific progress reports for the period 1966-1992 relating to Hart's work as part of the Laboratory for Leprosy and Mycobacterial Research at the National Institute for Medical research (NIMR), following his retirement from the TRU in 1965. In addition the file also contains material relating to the 25th anniversary of the opening of the NIMR Mill Hill Building (1975).
