This section contains correspondence relating to Professor Young's teaching roles.
Maureen Young worked at St Thomas's Hospital Medical School, London for much of her medical career. She was appointed Lecturer in Physiology at the Sherrington School of Physiology, St Thomas's Hospital Medical School from 1946 until 1956. She was appointed Senior Lecturer in Experimental Physiology at the Sherrington School from 1956 until 1961; Senior Lecturer at the Department of Medicine from 1961 until 1963; Senior Lecturer at the Department of Gynaecology from 1964 until 1965; Reader in Reproductive Physiology from 1965 until 1976; and Professor of Perinatal Physiology from 1976 until retirement in 1982.
During this time she gained several Fellowships and was invited by international colleagues to act as Visiting Professor.
