ENTRIES AS FOLLOWS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS NOTEBOOK:

p. 1 'Cooper's Seed Protector 1878' - 'The following is the Standard Formula of this, after many experiments, during 1877 and 1878', includes details of 'recipe' for product, label used (p. 3), sales of seed protector 1878 (Jul-Dec, by month, p. 5), press cuttings re: problems for crops and use of seed dressing (pp. 6-10).

p. 11 '1879 September' - 'I consider the seed protector as sent out last year can be improved and made more effectual ...', includes details on the product, how it was made in 1879, cuttings on Carbolic Acid and Prevention of Rust in Wheat, notes on Carbolic Acid (p. 17)

pp. 22-28 Notes on Seed Protector 1880-1884, including notes on manufacture and sales.

Enclosed inside the front cover of the notebook is a newspaper cutting 'Dressing for Seed Corn'.
